CHICAGO, Ill. — Tracey Lynn (Badger) Stankiewicz, 54, passed away unexpectedly at the hospital on Oct. 3, 2011.

She was born April 22, 1957, in Exeter, N.H., to Paula and Robert Badger. She attended Oyster River Schools, and graduated in 1977 from the nursing program at the Portsmouth Technical College. She was married to Ron Stankiewicz for 14 years.

She made jewelry, loved music and collected vintage sheet music. She loved the White Mountains, where she hiked with her father as a child. She had an amazing and ceaseless sense of humor and strong spirit.

She is survived by sons, Jet Henderson of Florida and Dario Rodriquez of Illinois; husband, Ron, of Chicago; stepmother, Ann Badger of Bedford, N.H.; sister, Karen Payne of Kittery, Maine; sister, Kim Guptel of Barrington, N.H.; sister, Laurie Masse of Barrington, N.H.; brother, Ben Badger of Bedford, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother, Paula Badger Mahoney; father, Robert Badger; and stepfather, Thomas Mahoney.

Tracey loved animals and supported the Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago. Donations can be made in her memory to SPCA of Chicago, 157 W Grand Ave., Chicago, IL 60654-7174 or to a local shelter.

A private memorial service was held at the Bohemian National Cemetery in Chicago.
