KEENE - David A. Grant, 63, a resident of Keene, NH passed away peacefully at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, on Monday, May 15, 2017.
He was born December 31, 1953 in Dover, NH the son of Clarence and Helen (Garland) Grant. He was a 1973 graduate of Oyster River High School and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from the New Hampshire Technical Institute in Mechanical Engineering, in 1975. On December 2, 1978 he married the love of his life: Hazel Knowlton.
For more than thirty-seven years he worked for Markem-Imaje in Keene. He also worked as an Official for Track and Field Events, not only in New England but all over the United States. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching stock-car racing and hockey. He was also an active member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. In his younger years he enjoyed being in the outdoors: hunting and fishing, especially with his brothers and his Dad. Above all, he was a loving Father and devoted husband and was willing to do whatever it took to provide for his family and support them, no matter what.
He is survived by his wife: Hazel Grant of Keene, his daughter: Sara Grant of Keene, his mother: Helen Grant of Exeter, NH, two brothers: Dr. Philip Grant and his wife Pattie of Windham, NH and Steven Grant and his wife Cheryl of Jamesburg, NJ, five sisters-in-law: Claire, Sheila, Lorraine, Iva and Sue and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
