GAINESVILLE - Kathleen Ann Jerabek, 57, formerly of Durham, NH, passed away suddenly on Saturday October 21, 2023 at Prince William Medical Center. Born on January 5, 1966 in Islip, New York, Kathy was the daughter of Leonard and Mary (Payez) Jerabek.
Kathy attended Oyster River High School in Durham, NH, where she excelled in academics and soccer. She was accepted into the University of New Hampshire where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree.
After college she attended the Philadelphia Paralegal school. She started her paralegal career at Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam and Roberts in New York City where she worked for 15 years. She moved to Virginia where she landed in Government Contracts at Accenture Federal Services LLC where she was a senior contracts manager.
Kathy loved her dogs Dante and Kolbe. She was an active member of the Catholic Church. She dabbled in stocks, loved soccer, Dunkin coffee, and Days of Our lives. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Kathy is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Jerabek and brother, Paul Jerabek. Left to cherish her memory are her parents Leonard and Mary of Dover NH, Brother William and wife Lori, of Missouri, Sister Mary and husband Michael May of Maine, 14 nieces and nephews, 15 grand nieces and nephews, her closest friend Bernie Preiss and husband Jack and their 3 children, her Godchildren, and family in California, Cousins in New York, and Florida.
