| James Michael Johnston
SOMERSWORTH - James Michael “Mike” Johnston, 31, of Green Street, died Oct. 14, 2006, at the home of his parents in Lee, after a long & courageous battle with cancer, with family and friends by his side.
Born Aug. 20, 1975, in San Antonio, TX, to Ralph M. and Carol (Ezekiel) Johnston he moved around the country with his military family before settling in New Hampshire at the age of twelve. He was a 1993 graduate of Oyster River High School, where he lettered in Cross Country and Swimming.
Mike was a Boy Scout and earned the status of Life Scout. He participated in the Boy Scout Police Cadet Program. He had a passionate love for life, enjoying his family and friends, music and movies. He was also an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed going to Fenway Park for a ball game.
For a number of years he was employed at A & A Wheeler Mfg. in Lee and was last employed at NEI in Brentwood.
Mike was a member of the Durham Evangelical Church and was a Prayer Group member.
He is survived by his wife Sarah (McDonald) Johnston and their son Damon Navarro Johnston of Somersworth; two sons, Chandler Michael Noyes of Stratham and Kameron James Johnston of Farmington; his parents Ralph and Carol Johnston of Lee; two sisters, Kimberly Marsh of Norfolk, VA, and Catherine Johnston of Sanford, ME; a brother Davis J. Johnston of Lee; 2 nieces, 2 nephews, many cousins; his best friend Denis Luken of Epping, and many other friends.
