| Terence D. O'Rourke
LITTLE COMPTON - Terence D. O'Rourke, 57, a Lowell native and a Little Compton resident who worked at Raytheon Co. for more than three decades and was a Vietnam War veteran, died Monday morning, Aug. 7, at St. Anne Hospital in Fall River, Mass.
He was the husband of Brenda S. (Hughes) O'Rourke.
He was born in Lowell, June 3, 1949, son of Madeline A. (Corfield) O'Rourke of Little Compton, and Terence P. O'Rourke, who died in 1983. He attended Lowell schools and graduated from Oyster River High School in Durham, N.H. He received his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H.
Mr. O'Rourke served in the Army, during the Vietnam War, at the rank of captain.
Mr. O'Rourke was a project manager in production control at Raytheon Co., in Portsmouth, R.I., where he had worked for more than 32 years.
An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Christopher M. O'Rourke and Alexis P. O'Rourke, both of Little Compton; a brother and sister-in-law, Peter W. and Kathryn O'Rourke of Argos, Ind.; two nephews and two nieces.
