| Cynthia Poulton Karabelas
LOVELL - Cynthia "Cindi" Karabelas, 57, of Lovell, Maine, passed away suddenly at her home on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.
After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, she received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Cindi was an accomplished trial attorney in Massachusetts for over 20 years which included several jury wins. After joining a firm briefly in North Conway, N.H., she went into private practice.
Cynthia loved the mountains and the outdoors. She successfully summited several peaks in the US, Europe and South America including Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the southern and western hemisphere. As an equestrian, Cindi was proud of her multiple blue ribbons for showing and riding horses. Most of all, she enjoyed relaxing with her children and family, and friends at Long Pond, on Mount Desert Island, Maine, her family's camp.
Predeceased by her parents, Bruce and Elizabeth (Jerothe) Poulton, Cynthia leaves behind her beloved daughters Paulina Karabelas of Cambridge, Mass., and Elizabeth Karabelas of Hamilton, Mass. She is also survived by her dear brothers Randall Poulton and his wife Deborah of Winterport, Maine, Jeffrey Poulton and his wife Maribeth Conklin of Bel Air, Maryland, and Peter Poulton and his partner Susi Yeuell of Wilmington, North Carolina. Cindi also leaves her nephews Wade, Greg, and Andy Poulton.
