| Polly Richmond House
SOUTH ACWORTH - Polly House, born March 8, 1946, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024 after many years of failing health.
Polly grew up in Lee, NH, and spent most of her life living next door to the farmhouse she grew up in. She worked for and retired from the University of NH which allowed her to stay close to her parents and her many friends. She eventually moved with her daughter to South Acworth, NH to be closer to her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Polly was an avid reader and spent many hours reading and rereading the many books in her collection and, although her health prohibited her from traveling, she diligently kept up correspondence with family and friends.
Polly is predeceased by her son Stephen; her parents, Herbert and Ruth Richmond; brother, Burt; and sister, Patti Hess. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Simmons, her grandchild Garret and his wife Nikki, and her great-grandchildren Vincent, Kevin, Kaylie, and Sabrina. She is also survived by her brother, Russell Richmond and wife Jennifer; her nephews Brian Kucharski and Chris Richmond; and her niece, Amanda Richmond.
Polly will be missed but remembered for her kindness and unselfish life. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, unknown at this time. In lieu of flowers, please extend kindness to someone in need on her behalf. That would make her smile.
