| Jane Ellen Rogers
DOVER - Jane Ellen Rogers passed away suddenly at Maine Medical Center on May 8th, 2019.
Born on December 2nd, 1956 in Carlisle, PA, Jane was the daughter of Philip and Marjorie Rogers.
Jane spent her early childhood in Woodbury, CT before her family relocated to Durham, NH. Jane attended Oyster River High School and graduated in 1975. She started her career working at the New England Center in Durham, NH and after 35 years of service, retired as the General Manager.
Jane was an abstract artist and lover of all things Bob Dylan. Her love of art and music could easily be seen in how she lived her everyday life. She had a true passion for baking and cooking, especially when it involved sharing it with the ones she loved, including the greatest loves of her life, her boys, Todd and Erik. The title Jane was most proud of was being a Nina to her 13 grandchildren.
Jane was always the optimistic one. The one who had a tangible zest for life. The one who lived absolutely unconditionally, no matter how hard it was at times. Even with her cancer diagnosis, she made sure to let everyone know that she was “fine” and was convinced the doctors has misdiagnosed her. Jane truly started, and ended, each day with an optimism that was unparalleled. She had a contagious smile that was never without the right shade of lip gloss. And her eyes, always perfectly framed by mascara, would light up any room when she walked in.
Jane will forever be missed by those that knew her. She leaves behind “Her Guy”, Dale Fuller; Her mother, Margie Rogers; Her son, Todd Gombar and his wife Samantha; Her son, Erik Gombar; Her stepdaughter, Chrissy Madere; Her stepdaughter, Melanie Bisson and her husband Rock. Her children’s father, and her friend, David Gombar. Her 13 Grandbabies and many dear friends. She will now join her father, Philip Rogers and her brother, Stuart Rogers.
Jane would not want us to mourn her but instead to raise a glass of Prosecco and always remember to SMILE.
