Stephen Gerard Sakowski Stephen was born September 2, 1961, a son of the late John Sakowski and Mary (Rheault) Sakowski. He graduated from Oyster River High School in Durham, NH in 1979 where his love of hockey began. He then earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Marine Biology from Southampton College in New York where he met his wife Linda Lee Grohe. They were married in 1986. He earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Boston University. He moved his family to Indiana in 1995 to work for Eli Lilly, where he loved working in quality control for 23 years. He was an enthusiastic New England sports fan and coached and supported his children’s sports teams. He loved music, was a DJ in college, and had a life-long passion for attending concerts from multiple genres of music. He thoroughly enjoyed debating politics with his friends and informing non-believers. He played hockey for most of his life, playing for the Lilly Men’s Hockey team. Survivors include his loving wife Linda Lee; son Joseph; daughter Paige; his mother; a sister Marilynn Tanguay; sisters-in-law Pamela Sakowski and Denise (Richard) Dorn; a nephew Jonathan (Brittany) Tanguay and nieces Elizabeth (Gregory) Melehov, Kerri (Brandon) Sakowski, Bridget Sakowski and Rachel Dorn. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother Michael Sakowski and brother-in-law Gary Tanguay.
