GOLDSBORO - Carl Thomas Smith, 73, of Goldsboro passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.
No formal services will be held.
Mr. Smith was born in Wyoming on April 11, 1951 to the late Thomas Watson and Helen Louise Lutts Smith. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard.
He is survived by his former wife, Lynne Kirkup of Rutherford, NC; his daughter, Jessica Lynne Cerny; two brothers, Bradley Trafton of California and Mark Trafton of New Hampshire; two sisters, Amy Trafton of New Hampshire and Susan Trafton of Vermont; two grandsons, Shamus Cerny and Nathan Cerny; one great-granddaughter, Paisley Mae Cerny and another great-grandchild on the way.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Pinkham Smith.
