Timothy Herbert Smith

BARRINGTON — Timothy Herbert Smith, 47, of 358 Route 4, Barrington, passed away on May 23, 2003.

Born Dec. 20, 1955, in Exeter, he was the son of Herbert C. and Charlotte (Gooch) Smith.

He was employed by the University of New Hampshire as a small project construction manager. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1973-1979 and was awarded the National Defense Medal.

Timothy loved spending time outdoors hiking and gardening.

He is survived by his father, Herb Smith and his wife, Helen, of Nottingham; his mother, Charlotte Elliott and her husband, Bob, of Sanbornville; one son, James Smith of Northwood; three daughters, Natalie Smith of Georgia, Tessa Smith of Barrington and Aleksa Smith of Barrington; three brothers, Bobby "Rastas" Elliott of Milton Mills, Jamie Smith of Nottingham and David Elliott of Belmont; five sisters, Patty Malone of Hudson, Fla., Martha Carlson of Alfred, Maine, Mary Coburn of Sanbornville, Joannie Atherton of Springhill, Fla. and Jeanna Bush of Nottingham; his girlfriend, Jill Brown of Barrington; and two granddaughters, Devyn and Tristyn Smith.
