| Oliver "John" P. Wallace, Jr.
SOUTH SUTTON, NH - Oliver P. “John” Wallace, Jr., 71, of Barker Road, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 at his home.
He was born on November 2, 1946 in Ypsilanti, MI the son of Oliver P. and Charlotte Jane (Brown) Wallace.
He grew up in Durham, NH, graduated from Oyster River High School and earned a B.A. degree in biology and a M.A. degree in teaching from the University of NH.
John served in the US Army as a member of the Army Security Agency and was stationed in Germany at Mt. Meissner as a Russian linguist.
He taught science and coached soccer at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH from 1973-1980. John taught science at Kearsarge Regional High School from 1980-2005. He also served as Athletic Director, was assistant soccer coach and coached softball for several years while at KRHS. After retiring from school he worked at the South Sutton Post Office for eight years.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ann (Coggeshall) Wallace; two sons, Timothy A. and his wife, Jean Wallace of Wilmot, NH and Christopher J. Wallace and his girlfriend, Marie-Eve Mongeau of Jericho, VT; two grandsons, Jeffrey C. Wallace and David C. Wallace of Wilmot, NH; two sisters, Mary Rounds of Mt. Vernon, NH and Susan Marcotte of Blackstone, MA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Timothy B. Wallace of Durham, NH.
