Roger K. Wittner

DURHAM - It is with deep sadness and extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger K. Wittner, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. He left us unexpectedly on Saturday August 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and compassion.

Roger enjoyed his work of 30 years as an esteemed project manager at Chinburg Builders. In his free time, he enjoyed being a part of various billiards teams, camping, boating, and spending time helping family and friends. He was a devoted son and brother, who was always there for us without hesitation. Most importantly, he was a dedicated father and grandfather whose love for his children and grandchildren was unwavering and they were his greatest source of pride.

Roger touched the lives of all that knew him and will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who loved him. He is survived by his children Nicole Wittner Damico, Ryan Wittner, and Krisitin Wittner, and three grandchildren JohnJohn, Liliana, and Jaxon. Roger was passionate about commemorating the memory of the USS Thresher that went down on April 10, 1963. His biological father, Richard Kaye Fisher, was aboard the Thresher along with the other 129 souls who lost their lives that day.
